Dr. Courtney Arianne Washington is a dedicated board-certified Family Medicine physician rooted in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana. Her journey in healthcare began at Xavier University of Louisiana, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in 2009. Her early career saw her immersed in various roles, from pharmacy technician to cancer research associate, contributing to notable publications in the Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics and the Journal of Pediatric Blood & Cancer.

Dr. Washington pursued her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Medical City Fort Worth. Driven by a lifelong dream to give back to her community, she returned to New Orleans and established the Fleur-De-Lis Primary Care Clinic in April 2021. Her practice is a cornerstone of her mission to provide comprehensive care that promotes wellness from the inside out.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Washington is an influential motivational speaker and a familiar face in media, contributing as a medical consultant for the Emmy-winning Disney+ series, The Crossover, and serving as a medical analyst for WDSU News. She has also been a featured speaker on the main stage at the Essence Festival of Culture and shares her insights through her YouTube channel, “Dr. NOLA Knows.”

Her debut cookbook, Low Carb Comfort Cookbook: New Orleans Flavor Meets Healthy Living, showcases her expertise in marrying her medical knowledge with her love for New Orleans’ rich culinary heritage. This book offers readers a pathway to healthier eating without sacrificing flavor, emphasizing her philosophy of holistic well-being.

Dr. Washington is a proud mother of twin boys and finds joy in exploring her beloved city, traveling, and participating in community events. Her commitment to her profession and her community positions her as a passionate advocate for health and wellness, both locally and beyond.
